Decatur Recreation Center Facility Entry & Supervision Policy
ALL GUESTS MUST CHECK IN AT THE FRONT DESK BEFORE USING THE FACILITY.
A free community membership and completed account registration are required for facility access.
AGES 16 & OLDER
Guests ages 16–18 may check in independently once a parent or legal guardian age 21 or older has established their account.
CHILDREN UNDER 16
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an approved adult age 21 or older who remains on site and maintains close, active supervision. An approved adult must be authorized by the child’s parent or legal guardian and have the child associated with their facility account. One adult may supervise no more than five children at a time, subject to approved program exceptions.
ACCOUNT REQUIREMENTS
A parent or legal guardian age 21 or older must establish accounts for guests under 19.
If an adult other than the parent or guardian accompanies a child, the parent or guardian must authorize the arrangement and add the child to that adult’s account before entry.
SUPERVISED PROGRAM EXCEPTION
The adult-accompaniment requirement does not apply while a child actively participates in an eligible, staff-supervised league or reserved program. Open recreation is not an exception.
Failure to follow facility policies or staff instructions may result in suspension of facility privileges.
